The Novotel Toronto Centre

Finding a great place to stay in Toronto can be a challenge! Ideally, I usually look for a hotel with a central location that isn’t too pricey for an overnight stay. The Novotel Toronto Centre was just a short walk away from Union Station and I highly recommend the hotel if you are looking to spend a weekend in Toronto.

My visit coincided with Toronto Pride, which happens to be one of the biggest celebrations in the city! Traffic was partially blocked off, but luckily the hotel was only a 30 min walk away from where the parade began.

The Novotel Toronto Centre is brand new with modern decor both in the common areas and the rooms. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and some snacks, which was perfect after a long train ride!

The hotel offers complimentary Wifi and a great dining area downstairs at Cafe Nicole, which offers seasonal international cuisine.

There is also an indoor pool and workout area which I wasn’t able to try on my short trip to Toronto but is something I always search for when booking a room. Being able to workout while travelling is extremely important to me!

My other main requirement when searching for a hotel is a good breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast buffet which is served at Cafe Nicole. They have both a la carte as well as a buffet option. The buffet had a wide variety of breakfast foods including scrambled eggs and bacon – as well as sweet options (croissants and muffins). They also had avocado to make your own avocado on toast (1st time I have seen this in a hotel!!)

If you’re like me and love searching for photography locations, the Novotel Toronto Centre is just a short walk away from the Gooderham Building in Toronto.

The Gooderham building in Toronto was constructed in 1891 and is associated with the Gooderham family who founded Toronto’s distillery in 1837.
If you travel to Toronto you need to visit The Distillery District which is home to some great galleries, restaurants, and shops!
