Hotel Torre del Mar is located in Playa d’en Bossa Ibiza, which is a popular hotspot in summer full of bars, restaurants, and beach lounges. The hotel is also located a short walk away from Ushuaia, one of the most famous clubs on the island of Ibiza.
The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are spotlessly clean. We stayed in their junior suite which had both a balcony and a terrace lounge accessible through a separate staircase. The terrace was equipped with lounge chairs, a jacuzzi and a breakfast table.
On our first night at the hotel we tried their buffet at their Panoramic restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you wake up early you can have breakfast while watching the sunrise. The tables are set up right next to the water which gives you a stunning view!
Although we weren’t able to try it ourselves, the hotel has an additional newly renovated restaurant called Restobar Miramar, which is perfect for dinner before heading out for a night on the town.
The breakfast is quite varied and offers options for almost anyone. You can find American breakfast options (eggs, bacon, toast), Italian options (pastries and coffee) as well as vegetarian and vegan options (fruit and vegetable platters). It is served in a large hall with an additional terrace outdoors.
My favourite part about the Hotel Torre del Mar was the spa and wellness area the hotel offers to its clients. The Sal Rossa spa is located on the seafront in the main lobby of the hotel and offers an extended list of affordable treatments and massages available upon reservation. We chose the 30 min back massage which was great because we had the option to do it outside in front of the beach. The area also offers a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, and an ice fountain. You can have a look at their full treatment card here.
Another great addition to the property is their guest experience area which was very useful! We were looking to explore the lesser known beaches and natural areas of Ibiza and wanted to move away from the touristy zones. Ana, who is a local to the island, was able to provide us with a detailed map where she circled the best places to take photos in Ibiza and included the times of the day to go (morning, sunset, lunchtime). One of the best suggestions was to go to Atlantis, a lesser known area of the island with unique rock formations that were used to built the historic center of Ibiza. I would highly recommend the property based on the guest experience service alone!
Our bedroom was the junior suite and perfect for a couples weekend. The room is divided into two floors (the upper terrace) and the main floor with a balcony, lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has both a hydromassage bath and shower. Everyday, the mini bar is refilled with juice and water and the staff brings a bottle of champagne along with some snacks (chocolate, candy, or chips). There is also a Nespresso machine in the room which is great if you want to have a coffee in the morning before heading downstairs.
The terrace is a perfect place to hangout during the day and is completely private. The pool does get crowded on a sunny day so its a wonderful option to have if you’d like to avoid the crowds. Room service is also available and you can have breakfast sent to your terrace in the morning. There was also a private jacuzzi that we were free to use at any time during our stay!
